FAQ

What if I have not done or passed my theory test before booking a course with you?

Normally between the start of your course and booking your course with us, there's at least two weeks and we expect you to utilise this to prepare for your theory test. You can book your intensive course with us and at same time use this link to guide on the steps required to book your theorytest:  https://www.gov.uk/apply-first-provisional-driving-licence. If fail your test, all you need to do is to re-book it and get ready again.  Your course with us will continue and you can refresh briefly before your practical driving test.

Where is the pick-up point?

Generally our driving instructors cover the entire Aberdeen area and the following nearby locations: Bucksburn, Dyce, Potterton, Balmedie, Portlethen, Peterculter, Kingswells, Westhill, Please note that pick up from other locations can be agreed on but please check if possible.
If you live outside Aberdeen,  options like City Centre/Aberdeen Driving test centres /Train Station or no more than 20 minutes drive are explored.

What should I bring with me for my lessons?

You need original provisional driving licence,  a print out of your driver record and  of course a bottle of water to cool off.

How long each day is the course? Any break?

Each day session lasts for 4 hours usually in the mornings unless otherwise scheduled to be in the afternoon.  We advise you make yourself available preferably keeping your diary clear as you may be tired. There will be breaks in between to use toilets,  take fresh air and stretch legs as required by Health and Safety guidelines.

What if I find the course too difficult?

We generally advise you let your instructor know. On most occasions,  the instructors are skilled enough to work at adjusted pace, reasonably spaced and paced to your learning style and absorption.

Will there be a Mock Test? What about Test Routes?

Yes there will be a Mock Test after you have covered all topics  and routes. Be rest assured that your instructor will take you through it all systematically covering moving off and stopping, junctions, roundabouts, crossroads, dual carriageways and country roads.

When will my driving test be? What if I am not ready ?

We target booking your driving test to be immediately after your training subject to availability of test and your readiness. In case you are not ready,  we advise you take more lessons before your test.

What is your pass rate? Is it a guaranteed pass?

Even though most people pass first time, we do not guarantee a pass! If you fail,  we support you through readjusting,  learning from the previous mistakes and getting back in and firing your best shot again! Test re-book is £62.

I don't know which course to book. What course would you recommend?

The  5-Day Course is designed top up your previous driving experience in 3 intense days of preparation and mock-testing you on the 4th day before DSA test on the 5th day.  If you don't have enough car control and road awareness previously acquired by proper car handling, we recommend the 7-Day Course as it will afford you more time simultaneously  solidifying the basics and getting you test-ready with manageable pressure.
Our 10-Day Course is for candidates with little or no experience. Your instructor will take things from the basics and build up from scratch to finish.
Still not sure? No worries! You can simply book a shorter course to begin with and top up by pay-as-you-go later on but kindly let you instructor know so they can make room for further lessons in their diary.

How does the booking work?

Select your preferred Monday start date on our calendar and once your booking is placed you will receive an e-mail confirmation with further instructions. One of the team will usually give you a quick call to make sure we have all the details after your booking.

How Do Make Payment for the Course? What if I place a booking and cancel my course?

There are two parts to the payment: Initially you will pay a NON REFUNDABLE booking fee which is between £249-£299 depending on the course. Please note that this is your commitment and it is not refundable as we use this payment to secure your booking.
